Princep Ghat - Kolkata

This is one of the few places in Kolkata, where you can go and relax in an evening peacefully.
Some people visit this place for the historic monument, while others come here to watch sunset on the beautiful Ganga against the backdrop of Vidyasagar Setu (locally known as 2nd Hooghly Bridge, the first being the famous Howrah bridge). And the lovers come here for the ferry ride and the sweet nothings. 

The photographs of this post were taken in a 2010 evening. Its an understatement that lot has changed between 2010 and now. Most notably, the state has got a new CM at its helm, who had put her focus immediately on improving the riverside walks around Princep Ghat.
